Implementation of Digital Programmes

Lancashire & South Cumbria ICB

The In-Form Solutions team were appointed to programme manage the planning, development and implementation of three Digital programmes across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

These programmes involved in engaging with clinicians, technicians an d project managers of each of these programmes to mobilise the team and to develop and complete successful business cases. Our team led these initiatives and were successful in gaining financial support from NHS England. As a consequence, a Programme Board was soon established, with project teams and clinicians. We developed the governance processes including Terms of Reference, Project Plans, Risk Assessments, Memorandum of Understanding between the parties, Contracts and of course funding mechanism and trigger points. KPI’s based on outcomes and benefits were also developed to ensure that each programme met their strategic and operational objectives.

The In-Form Solutions team Chaired weekly / fortnightly Programme Boards, reported back to the ICB on progress and galvanised engagement and project progress through to completion. Initially, pilots were developed and once proof of concept was delivered, each programme further developed through to roll out across a wider footing, geographically and operationally.

The outputs of our work included:

Successful Business Case implementation.
Mobilisation and engagement of key stakeholders through to commitment.
Establishing a Programme Office along with the governance processes.
Development of Programme and Project Plans through to implementation.
Ongoing management and project support to the operational teams.
Successful delivery of each project from proof of concept to roll out.
Monthly reporting to the ICB.
Delivery of KPI’s and progress reports with outcomes and benefits.
